After starting this book more than 20 years ago, I am pleased to say that it is nearing completion.

It was certainly hard to stay motivated to put this together, especially when the Learn Guitar: A Beginners Course was outselling Learn Guitar: Intermediate Course by a ratio of 10-to-1.

It got kinda hard writing when all I kept thinking about was that would maybe the Intermediate Course outsell this one by 10-to-1 as well… and so it just got tough.

I suppose it wasn’t helped by the fact that I was teaching far more private students around this time also, certainly many more than when was writing the other two books. Or that I was playing more gigs in the weekends too. So maybe it was just that I got busy!

Enough excuses though – but the book has progressed and it won’t be long until it is finished.

Following the same format as the other two Learn Guitar titles, this is divided into 8 Sessions each with a variety of lessons. This time the book dives into the world of scales and patterns, and dissects guitar soloing. It breaks down individual techniques from simple to advanced, from bending to tapping and sweeping.
